The Event: Passenger Emails and Sean’s Photos Show Us What We Already Know

Dan Koelsch, September 26, 2010

The mystery continues tomorrow night as the second episode of NBC’s new show The Event hopes to begin shining some light on just what “the event” is. Until then, the TruthSeeker Blog has been updated with emails from passengers on the ill-fated Avias Flight 514, as well as some photos from Sean Walker (Jason Ritter) while on a cruise in the Caribbean.

The mysterious TruthSeeker is still trying to expose an unknown government conspiracy, and he (I’m assuming it’s a “he”) has been focused Avias Flight 514, which, as we see in the pilot for The Event, was taken over by Michael Buchanan for the purpose of crashing into into the President’s Retreat, only to disappear in midair. While the public doesn’t know about it, TruthSeeker is figuring it out.

First, he found some emails and a few text messages that (if real) prove that the plane did crash shortly after take off. The wording on these are pretty hokey, but they get the point across. TruthSeeker is looking to see if there’s more to this, since “the message could be contaminated. I’m microscoping.” Second, we have photos from Sean’s vacation shortly before all hell broke loose. Check out the full slideshow at the blog. They all seem to be innocuous, but maybe there’s something hidden. Let us know if you find anything.

Having a hard time keeping up with the mystery of The Event? You’re in luck, as NBC has created an official wiki page for your convenience. We use it for research and fact-checking when writing articles, so if you’re looking to connect some dots, that should be one of your first stops. Be sure to check out The Event at 9/8c on Mondays.
