MovieViral’s 2 Year Anniversary!

Dan Koelsch, January 29, 2011January 29, 2011

It’s hard to believe it’s already been 2 years, but on January 29, 2009, MovieViral was officially born. We’ve come a long way, and we want to thank all our readers for sticking by us and making this all possible. We are, as always, looking to grow and mature our coverage as much as possible, and this year we are hoping to role out at least one new feature: a Wiki page to act as a searchable database for movie and studio social media accounts, as well as our more intricate viral campaigns. Please leave a comment below telling us what you think about our coverage so far, as well as what you would like to see us add or change in the future. We’ll pick one random winner from the comments from this weekend and give away an official MovieViral T-Shirt!

Happy birthday! I can’t think of anything really to improve on the main site here, but it would be fantastic if you guys could find a way to liven up the forum a bit.

Congratulations and Happy MovieViral Birthday!! You guys are one of my favorite blogs to read and follow and I’m happy to see you continue on successfully. Virals are increasingly criticized these days, but it’s you guys who help make sure they stay alive and well. I wouldn’t want a Hollywood without viral campaigns and I wouldn’t want a Hollywood without MovieViral either. Keep on kickin’ ass!!

Happy Birthday MovieViral and congrats! I first discovered you back in 2008 during Comic-Con. Your site got me started in the Flynn Lives campaign. I’ve been a loyal reader ever since, looking for updates for any current viral campaigns that I could get involved with. I don’t think there is anything to change really. Liking the new site design and I’m happy that you guys were finally able to sort out the issue. I’d like to see more coverage of non-movie virals, perhaps a seperate section on the site. I’m looking forward to the completion of the wiki. Keep up the good work!
