Isaiah Mustafa (The Old Spice Guy) is Luke Cage In Mysterious Trailer Dan Koelsch, May 29, 2011 The Daily Blam has found a promotional trailer for a superhero project, but the source is unknown. The video features Isaiah Mustafa, the actor best known as ‘The Old Spice Guy’ for his recent role in popular commercials and the well-received viral campaign for the Old Spice brand, as Marvel Comics’ Luke Cage. Get more details, and see the video, after the break.Obviously, the low production value has led bloggers, including myself, to assume this is just a fan made trailer. Mustafa himself may be behind this, as Marvel is looking to make a television show for film based on Cage, and Mustafa has actively campaigned for the role. However, nothing else about the production and purpose of the trailer is known, and Mustafa himself has been quiet on the subject, not even tweeting a hint of the video’s release in the past week. What do you think of Mustafa as Luke Cage? Does he fit the part? Do you think this video was made by Mustafa to drum up fan support and convince Marvel executives that he is the man for the job? He obviously knows viral marketing and has a fan base. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
