Trailers Weekly: “The Amazing Spider-Man”, “The Expendables 2”, “Beasts of the Southern Wild”, “Klown”, “The Watch”

TrailersWeekly

Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week we have the trailers for The Amazing Spider-Man, The Expendables 2, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Klown (very very NSFW by the way), and The Watch (formally known as Neighborhood Watch). Hit the jump to see them all.

The Amazing Spider-Man

The final trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man has popped up online and not only is it it Amazing but its probably gives us the best reason to watch this movie in 3D, and I really hate 3D.

The Expendables 2
Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger all return to reprise their respective characters in The Expendables 2. They will be joined by Liam Hemsworth and Jean Claude Van Damme, in the sequel that looks like a vast improvement when compared to its predecessor.

Beasts of the Southern Wild
I have been wondering what the hype was behind the Sundance Film Festival hit Beast of the Southern Wild. Now I know why everyone is talking about it. There is so much magic and passion in this film that it would be hard for anyone who is a cinephile not to watch this.

Klown
This is probably the strangest and wackiest trailer for a film that I have ever seen. Its dark, very sexual, but its also undeniably hilarious. If you are looking for a comedy that’s pushing the envelope, and I mean really pushing the envelope, then this is the movie you have been waiting for.

The Watch
The Trayvon Martin case forced Twentieth Century Fox to change the course in their marketing for the formally titled Neighborhood Watch. It started with pulling down of posters splattered with green alien blood and bullet holes and was followed by a change of the title. Now the movie will be called The Watch, everything else will probably stay the same.

What did you think of this week’s trailers? Which was your favorite? Do you agree with the Internet buzz? Of course, every week there are a lot more trailers, teasers, TV spots, and clips that we can’t cover, so go to TrailerAddict.com to see your favorites. You can also download trailers in HD at Apple.com, or the new iTunes Movie Trailers App on your iPhone or iPad.
