2012 Viral: iPhone App and the IHC on Charlie Frost Dan Koelsch, August 6, 2009August 6, 2009 Looks like The Institute for Human Continuity has heard of Mr. Charlie Frost. Frost posted on his blog a video from a woman asking what separates the IHC from “the crazy guy on the corner”? Dr. Soren replies with a very thorough and diplomatic answer. Seems simple enough, but this lead me to the realization that the IHC has a YouTube channel, which for some reason slipped by me. After checking out the channel, I noticed Soren actually directly answers a Frost question. It will be interesting to see how much of a role these two entities (Frost and the IHC) play in the actual film. Could they just be representations of what would happen if a 2012 disaster were to hit? You would have your “crazy guy on the corner” and an actual organization looking to do something about it. It’s possible they’ll be just background in the film, in the way Tagruato was in Cloverfield. We’ll have to wait in see. In other “I can’t believe I missed this” news, 2012 also has it’s own iPhone App. The app by Sony Pictures is a game where you answer survival questions in order to get closer to Tibet, which the app implies is the safest place to be when the disaster hits. There are no real ties to the film directly, just that’s unfortunate. Some of the questions are tough, and you only get 3 misses, but it’s good for learning about real survival tips. It’s free to download, so check it out yourself. In the 2012 viral, Charlie Frost is a character who preaches about the end of the world. The IHC is an organization preparing for the end of the world in 2012. Check out our 2012 viral page for more information. 2012 opens nationwide November 13th. Viral Marketing 2012

Why does IHC and Charlie Frost have a HORRIBLE graffiti like series of posters covering the side of a building on Seventh Avenue in historic Greenwich Village? So very inappropriate. They should be ashamed!
