Ted: Play “Fists of Furry” Game and Listen to Remix of “Thunder Buddies” Song Dan Koelsch, June 21, 2012June 20, 2012 The raunchy comedy Ted, about a teddy bear that came to life 27 years ago, opens next weekend in theaters, and Universal has a few online updates to promote the film. There’s an online game where Ted fights other famous talking bears from television and film, as well as a remix of an original song featured in the trailer. Details after the jump. Seth MacFarlane, creator of Family Guy, stars in the movie as the voice of Ted, with Mark Wahlberg playing John, who as a boy made the wish for Ted to come to life. The two still live together, which is causing problems in John’s relationship with Lori (Mila Kunis), because Ted has become a crude, stoner, party animal (pun intended). You get to see to see the aggressive side of Ted in the game Fists of Furry, which pits him against the likes of Yogi Bear, Teddy Ruxpin, Fozzie Bear, a Care Bear, and Smokey the Bear. The classic arcade style (sometimes called 8-bit) game is pretty rudimentary, but there are some entertaining finishing moves. If you don’t want to spend time playing the game to see them all, the film’s YouTube channel has them all for you to watch. While you’re on the channel, be sure to also check out this remix of the “Thunder Buddies” song sung by Ted and John in the film’s first trailer:Ted opens in theaters on June 29th.
