Indiana Jones Mailing Mystery Solved! Dan Koelsch, December 18, 2012 Last week the University of Chicago received a package for Henry Walton Jones, Jr., the full name of the famed fictional archaeologist Indiana Jones. The contents of the package had many thinking it was part of a viral campaign, but what for? Well, the mystery has finally been solved. Get the details after the break. The package actually came from an Ebay seller in Guam who sells Indiana Jones replica props. He sent the package to the winning bidder in Italy, but it somehow got separated from the (real) package it came in. USPS only saw that the replica package was addressed to U of C (where Dr. Jones taught), so they just wrote in the zip code (which was omitted) and sent it on its way. A bit of an anticlimactic ending, but at least the seller let the campus keep to the prop. In the end, it became viral marketing for Ebay.Source: Red Eye Chicago Viral News Indiana JonesMail
