Trailers Weekly: “Iron Man 3”, “The Hangover Part III”, “Much Ado About Nothing”, “After Earth” “To The Wonder” Michael Lee, March 9, 2013March 9, 2013 Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week we have trailers for Iron Man 3, The Hangover Part III, Much Ado About Nothing, After Earth and To The Wonder. Hit the jump to see them all.Iron Man 3 Even though there were only to theatrical trailers for Iron Man 3, they managed to be the best pieces of marketing for the film. New armors, new technologies, new villains, what else could we see in this final chapter of the Iron Man trilogy? Directed by Shane Black, Iron Man 3 opens in theaters on May 3. The Hangover Part III Yes Todd Philips has returned to direct the final chapter in the Hangover franchise. But this time Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis will not be waking up from a druken stupor. Instead they will do something so incredibly stupid that it forces the wolfpack to go on yet another “adventure”. Which for some odd reason seems to involve purchasing a giraffe. The Hangover Part III opens in theaters on May 24. Much Ado About Nothing Forget Serenity. Forget Cabin In The Woods. Hell, just forget about The Avengers and The Avengers 2. Much Ado About Nothing is something we have never seen from director Joss Whedon. Familiar faces to Whedon’s World include Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Clark Gregg, Nathan Fillon, Sean Maher, and Fran Kranz. Tom Lenk, Ashley Johnson, Reed Diamond, and Riki Lindhome also star in Whedon’s latest director effort which is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s play. Lionsgate opens in theaters on June 7. After Earth M. Night Shyamalan‘s After Earth will either revive his career or hurl it into the pits of hell. The trailer is an improvement over the first one that was released as there is more of a story to it. The father-son bonding is a nice plot device to the film, and the survivalist element does give it an edge, but is it enough? Starring Will and Jayden Smith, After Earth opens in theaters on June 7th. To The Wonder Trailers for Terrace Malick‘s films are just as beautiful as the film itself. There is a craft to show the beauty of Malick’s vision that few can grasp and create, and the trailer for To The Wonder hits all the right notes. The film centers on a man’s return to his hometown after his marriage with a European woman falls apart. To the Wonder stars Ben Affleck, Olga Kurylenko, Rachel McAdams, Javier Bardem, and opens in theaters on April 12.What did you think of this week’s trailers? Which was your favorite?
