This week we have trailers for Snowpiercer, Elysium, 300: Rise Of An Empire, In A World…, and Only God Forgives. Hit the jump for more.Snowpiercer Boon Joon-ho’s english language debut stars Chris Evans, Kang-ho Song, Octavia Spencer, John Hurt, Jamie Bell, Ewen Bremner, Ed Harris, and Tilda Swinton. In the film the world has been encased in ice after a failed experiment to stop global warming goes horribly wrong. To keep humanity alive, a large train was built to run across the world. Each train represents a social class, and with the lower class tired of their way of life, they lead an uprising that will run towards the front of the train. Elysium The second trailer for District 9 director Neill Blomkamp‘s sci-fier Elysium debuted earlier this week. Matt Damon plays one of the last remaining humans on earth while the rest of humanity who has the money live in paradise in a space station called Elysium. After told to die – by a soulless robot no less – Damn undergoes a dangerous procedure which will make human Earth’s last hope to save humanity and gain access to the elusive Elsyium in the sky. 300: Rise Of An Empire Continuing right after the events of 300, this film follows the rise of a new group of Greeks who will fight against the Persian forces of Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) and his right-hand villainess Artemesia (Eva Green). 300: Rise of an Empire uses the same breathtaking visuals that made 300 such a hit in the first place, but will it be enough? 300: Rise of an Empire everywhere in 3D on March 7th, 2014. In A World… Written, produced, and directed by Lake Bell, the film centers on a young woman whose father is the king of voiceovers and most known for voicing trailers. Using her father’s tutelage, she aspires to become the best as well. Fred Melamed, Ken Marino, Demetri Martin, Rob Corddry, Michaela Watkins, and Tig Notaro also star. The film opens in limited theaters on August 9. Only God Forgives We have another trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn’s latest directorial effort starring Ryan Gosling, Kristin Scott Thomas and Vithaya Pansringarm. Gosling plays a kickboxing promoter who must avenge his brother after his mother tells him he was killed by a police officer. The film opens in theaters on July 19.
