Rowling’s 12 Days of Christmas story fest has started, where she will post a new story from the Harry Potter universe every day until Christmas. Of course, she doesn’t make it easy on you right off the bat. The only way you get to see the first story is to solve a riddle. After the break, find out the riddle and how to solve it, so you can read the new Potter story for yourself.The riddle she posted on the Pottermore site is as follows:In a house on Spinner’s End, a meeting takes place, a mother begs help for her son, tears on her face. Agreeing to help, though he doesn’t know how. Which potions master performs an unbreakable vow?Do you know the answer to the riddle? The obvious answer is Hogwarts potions master Severus Snape, but in order to get the story, you have to type in Professor Snape.Once you enter that answer, you’ll get a very short three paragraph story that talks about the town of Cokeworth. It mentions that this is where Aunt Petunia, Lilly and Severus Snape all grew up. It’s also the place where Bellatrix and Narcissa visit at the beginning of The Half-Blood Prince novel.
