2012 Viral: Please Leave a Message Scott Caldwell, September 4, 2009September 4, 2009 Once again, Charlie Frost is on top of his game. How the guy manages to keep his Winnebago in tip top shape, and yet still find time to post conspiracies and insider info is beyond me. I’m thinking we may have a spot for Mr. Frost on the MovieViral team. So it looks as if we have a new level of viral coming into the 2012 campaign in the form of the always wonderful, phone calls. What a better way to get someone involved and make them feel as if they are truly part of the game. Charlie Frost has made a pretty big post on his blog, ThisIsTheEnd, which is a hack of Dr. Soren Ulfert’s phone system. And by hack, we mean full on extension and password.1-888-363-2012 is the oh so clever telephone number of the IHC. First you are greeted with the operator asking you press 1 for the Lottery, 2 for the Leader of the Post-2012 election (vote for me!), and 3 for Dr. Ulfert. The first two options are simple. They state what they entail and how you can be a part. Trying to get ahold of Dr. Ulfert? Oooh. Sorry. Voicemail is turned off and not accepting calls. But! Charlie, as mentioned before, has hooked you up with all of the needed info to hack the system.First you are to hit 0 because you are an “IHC employee”. Then, your… I mean Dr. Ulfert’s extension which is 9876 , followed by his PIN of 1978. And…you’re in! “You have one new message and 6 old messages”. Listen to them closely. Or, play this audio which our very own Nick Butler threw together. Just for you. And I bet he worked hard. Did you listen? So far we have Barbara who doesn’t care for him (that’s the accidental VM with the quietness so it’s actually not a technical problem on our side). Then, someone is out to get him based on info he has given to Adrien Helmsley, who, as of now, is listed on the IHC’s news page as the science advisor to the President. Sweet gig (see May 1st news on their page). We also hear someone telling Soren how great I am doing in the election. Ok, well he didn’t say my name exactly, but come on, we know it’s me. And some more calls from Barbara. I already don’t like Barb. She reminds me of someone I work with….oh. Sorry. Anywho. We’ll keep checking because there very well may be more. Also, this is just fuel for the fire that I mentioned the last 2012 article, in regards to Soren’s online Q&A session. Someone’s gettin grilled! We should have everything you need for it. As always, stay tuned to our forum for great 2012 discussions and look forward to the mass destruction on November 13th. Viral Marketing 2012
