Tron Legacy: Encom to Hold Press Conference Dan Koelsch, March 25, 2010October 18, 2011 Just when we thought there might be a lull in the Tron Legacy viral after the Encom badges were issued, 42 Entertainment is keeping their foot on the pedal. It looks like those badges will come in handy next week, because Encom International will be holding a press conference on April 2nd. Find out more after the break. Encom International is the software and game company that main character Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) became CEO of after the events of Tron. Now Flynn is missing, but his good friend Alan Bradley (who created the Tron program in the first film) has been named Executive Consultant to Encom and taking a more public role (played again by Bruce Boxleitner). So, what does this mean for us? First off, Bradley will be holding a press conference next week to “introduce the latest addition to the Encom International product library”, according the official website’s press release. it will take place April 2nd at 8pm in Justin Herman Plaza (San Francisco, CA). Here’s an excerpt from the press release.CEO Kurt Hardington sums it up this way: “Alan’s new title and role reflect his unique position as part of the Encom story. He keeps us grounded, yet he’s the first to move forward when technology takes us in a new direction. That’s why he’s perfect to present our newest product – it’s where we’ve come from and where we’re going.”Alan Bradley will take the stage at 8pm in Justin Herman Plaza on April 2 to unveil the next generation in Encom innovation. While we don’t know more about the event yet, it should definitely be interesting. Maybe they’ll announce something about the laser than can turn objects digital. In reality (knowing 42), it might be another sneak peek at the film, some Tron swag, or maybe a new game. If you are able to go, make sure to bring your Encom badges and let us know what happens! IGN has an interview with Alan Bradley (Boxleitner in character), in which they talk about his new role with Encom, Flynn’s eco-friendliness, disappearance, and son, as well as the upcoming press conference. Avatar Viral Review December 23, 2009December 23, 2009This review contains minimal spoilers for those who have yet to see Avatar. I definitely recommend checking out Iain’s review of the film, as it sums up my personal reaction perfectly. Although the film’s story was far more pedestrian and predictable than I originally thought (and would have liked), there is no… Read More
