Who’s Playing Lollapalooza? Only Time Will Tell Scott Caldwell, April 5, 2010April 5, 2010 A while back, when the Tron Legacy viral really started to pick up, one of the first things they did is slowly reveal the cities involved in the screening of the trailer. If you take a look at Lollapalooza’s website, instead of listing the cities (there’s only one so that would end quick), they are listing the bands that will be participating in the infamous rock festival this August in Chicago’s Grant Park.In fact, I’ll tell you that the first band on the list is none other than Soundgarden. How do I know this? If you remember a while back, I wrote an article on Soundgarden’s return, and how they created a viral-like campaign for their reunion. Well, they sent an email stating they were one of the acts this year. Sorry the answer wasn’t that glamorous. So what do you think about this new form of “wait and see viral”? Is it a way to get more hits on the site, or is it a fun way to get you involved? Let us know what you think Viral Marketing LollapaloozaSoundgardenTron Legacy
