GKNOVA6: Third Transmission Goes Live, More Codes

Nick Butler Nick Butler, April 22, 2010April 22, 2010

The third transmission has been posted on GKNOVA6.com. The newest update still hasn’t shed a light on what game this is for, however it has brought us some new codes to crack. After the jump, watch the video and see what has been uncovered thus far.

Here is what was said in the video, provided by CoDZ.

They used the earths magentic field X the information was gathered and transmitted.

m o d – 10 21 26 1 26 19 25 16 22 2 20 1 21 23 16 26 22 19 3

Nothing in life is to be feared it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more so that we may fear less.

m o d – 1 0 0

Outside of consciousness there lies the cold and alien world of actual things.

m o d

Can’t you see the whole spectrum?

Kenneth what’s the frequency?

Linear not algorithmic.

CoDZ user FireStarFish80 pointed out where the quotes were from.

That first line is a line for part two of the kryptos in Langley (They used the earths magentic field X the information was gathered and transmitted.)

http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:3YN … clnk&gl=ca

The Second line is a quote from two time nobel prize winner Marie Curie (Wiki page on her, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie_Curie)

Lastly, Outside of consciousness there lies the cold and alien world of actual things, is a quote by Heinrich Hertz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinrich_Hertz)

That’s all we have so far. I’m sure there’s a lot of people working on the codes. Leave a comment below if you find anything so we can update the article ASAP.

UPDATE 6:24PM: So people have been working on the updates all day, and so far this is what they gathered.

This image was discovered by MrToasty while examining the audio of the newest transmission. So far it’s lead to Freedom7.com – but the legitimacy of that site is being question (due to the WhoIs information, which reveals the website was registered in 1997). In addition, the 5 + 5 = 10 message may be referring to 5/5/2010, which is when Alan Shepard became the first man in space.

This update still leads us to ponder the golden question. What game is this for?! My message to the marketing team behind this game is simple: if you wait to long to reveal what you’re marketing, people lose interest. Not only that, but if what you’re marketing IS NOT what they expected it to be, the campaign completely backfires (I’m talking to you, “New Coke“). So keep that in mind.

!Kenneth what’s the frequency?! is a song from the band game theory, 1987!

    Gotham’s White Knight here…

the series of numbers reads like this in the alphabet..

    J U Z A Z S Y P V B T A U W P Z V S C

    attempting to rearrange now.

    It’s actually: J U Z A Z S . Y P V B T A U W P Z V S C
There is a dot sound between those two. 🙂

There is also series of sounds that are both high and low frequency which is the same stuff that doctors do to you when they test how good you can hear. It could have a meaning.

That red dot that is bleeping there on the right on that site is using morse code, but I don’t know what’s the message of it.

okay here is what i have so far:
they use the earth’s magnetic field X, the infomation was gathered and transmited (from kryptos)
    MOD(4) 10 21 26 01 26 19 25 16 22 02 20 01 21 23 16 26 22 19 03

Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. now is the time to understand more so we may fear less (quote from Marie Curie)
    MOD 100

    (musical tones)
    G A G D G G A G C A (as far as i can tell)

outside of our consciousness there lies the cold and alien world of actual things (quote from Henirich Hertz)
    MOD
can’t you see the whole spectrum???

    (sound)

Kennith, what the frequency? (said to Dan Rather as he was attcked on Oct. 4 1986)

    lineaer not algorithmic

well that what i got, sorry for any mistakes!!

I’ve used a spectrum analyzer for the Marie Curie tones. They are (in Hz):
    200
    800
    1800
    3200
    2400
    800
    200

    200
    800
    1.8
    3.2
    2.1
    900
    200

  6. Shaner says:
    April 22, 2010 at 7:25 am

    Oops, should be:
    200
    800
    1800
    3200
    2400
    800
    200

    200
    800
    1800
    3200
    2100
    900
    200

I don’t agree these are musical notes because they are in multiples of 100, whereas musical notes are not.
    http://www.phy.mtu.edu/~suits/notefreqs.html

The “mod” of this is 100. So you could deduce you pull out the multiples of the 100Hz to get the code:
    2 8 18 32 24 8 2
    2 8 18 32 21 9 2

This could be the key to the previous ciphertext.

I found the source for the “key” on the second channel.

    http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=202&start=0

An image of sputnik was in the audio if you see Amado’s post.
It was far fetched when i first saw it, but I confirmed with some free software on the Internetz. So cool….

if temporal frequency analysis is used on the audio an image can be seem:
Freedom = 7 (which is upsidown)
    5 + 5 = 10

underneath that is another equation which is too hard to read.

Here’s some info that might be useful for you smart folks

The problematic part is at the end of part 2: “… forty-four seconds west. ID by rows.” On April 19th, sculptor Sanborn contacted one of the Kryptos Group moderators to say, “No, that last part is wrong.” He also indicated that there was a missing character on the sculpture, probably something that would have resulted in a plaintext “X” before that section. He said that he had thought that with the missing character, the section in question would have come out to be an unintelligible scramble. Instead, he was astounded to see that by sheer chance, the resulting random text had turned out to be apparently intelligible English, “ID BY ROWS”, although that was not what was intended.

The exact method used in K2 is polyalphabetic substitution, known as a “Quagmire III variation” of a Vigenère cipher. The keyed cipheralphabet and plaintext alphabet both use the key of KRYPTOS, and the indicator key is the word ABSCISSA.

    April 22, 2010 at 10:29 am

ABSCISSA, I bet is a key here.

Its also a song from REM. “Whats the frequency Kenneth blah blah” Maybe a clue? Im going to examine the lyrics.

  14. Shaner says:
    April 22, 2010 at 1:33 pm

    The Marie Curie tones:
    2 8 18 32 24 8 2
    2 8 18 32 21 9 2

Refer to the Electron Shells of Plutonium and Uranium respectively…

The Heinrich Hertz frequency shows “Freedom = 7, 5+5=10”

    April 22, 2010 at 2:23 pm

freedom 7 was Alan Shepard’s bird, freedom7.com is an interesting site that was last updated April 3……
