Viral Video: Firefly Intro 80’s Style Dan Koelsch, July 10, 2010 Firefly is one of my favorite shows in television history, despite it lasting for only 14 episodes. I didn’t even watch until a few years after its 2002 cancellation (thanks, Hulu!), but it instantly made me a fan of creator Joss Whedon and star Nathan Fillion. One of the (many) reasons the space western failed to gain a mainstream audience may have been due to its slow and “uncool” opening sequence. io9 tries to improve on the credits scene by giving it an 80s style. Take a look after the jump. Here’s the original opening credits sequence, which I love, with “Ballad of Serenity”. Which do you like better? Viral Videos FireflyJoss WhedonViral video
