Super 8 Updates: Chat Icon Appears and Video Footage From Weirton Set Dan Koelsch, October 9, 2010 Today we have a small viral update and video footage of film production in action in Weirton, West Virginia for Super 8, the sci-fi film being produced by J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg. First, we have footage of Super 8 being shot on location from William Blakenship (via AICN). Then we have a new icon on our favorite remote desktop. See it all after the break. On the STIES website, there’s a new icon on the desktop tool bar that is a chat bubble with a hashtag in it. Could it be a reference to Twitter, or as Super 8 News suggests, IRC messaging? Hopefully this means there will be some two way communication coming soon, or at least we’ll know more about this PDP-11 remote computer.
