Daft Punk’s “TRON: Legacy” Soundtrack Debuts At #10 On Billboard Dan Koelsch, December 16, 2010 As you may have guessed from our review and my tweets, we here at MovieViral are big fans of the TRON: Legacy Soundtrack that is produced exclusively by Daft Punk. It looks like the rest of the world loves the music of The Grid as well, as the album, released on the 7th, debuted at #10 on Billboard Top 200 albums. The soundtrack sold 70,794 units in the United States and Canada for the period of 12/7-12/12, which is more than the Inception soundtrack has sold TO DATE (62,000). In fact, it is the first score soundtrack to debut in the Top 10 in five years (last one was Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith in 2005). Globally, the album is in the Top 10 on the iTunes chart: in the U.S. (#3), France (#1), Australia (#1), Canada (#1), Belgium (#1), Germany (#2), Ireland (#2), New Zealand (#2), UK (#3), Spain (#3), Denmark (#3), Mexico (#3), Italy (#4), Norway (#9), Sweden (#9). The album has shipped Gold in France and is #1 on the Digital Album chart. Source: Walt Disney Studios News Daft PunkMusicSoundtrackTron Legacy
