Dan Koelsch, March 17, 2011

The Internet is full of videos related to movies, whether they be fan made, studio made, or somewhere inbetween. We regularly bring you the best, most interesting, or just plain weirdest, and today we do it again. Check out the latest viral videos after the break.

To promote their upcoming alien comedy Paul (opening Friday), stars Nick Frost and Simon Pegg try to recreate a scene from Star Wars for CollegeHumor.

CollegeHumor also decided to do a mashup using the video from the recently released animated film Rango and another Johnny Depp film, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

What would happen if Wile E. Coyote from Looney Tunes got stuck in a situation like 127 Hours? YouTuber Rob Yulfo shows us below. Check out his other animated videos as well.

Warner Bros. have released an animated short film to promote their upcoming Sucker Punch, a film about wrongly institutionalized girls who use their dreams to break out. Created by Ben Hinbon, “The Trenches” tells the backstory of the masked soldiers featured in the girls’s dreams. [via Geek Tyrant]

Speaking of Sucker Punch, here’s a mash-up using the trailer’s audio and scenes from Disney animated classics. [via /Film]

The much ridiculed music video for “Friday” by Rebecca Black went hugely viral this weekend, and it should only be expected that someone mixed the song with the urban classic Friday.

A video making the rounds around the blogosphere is this presentation video for the SXSW “Excellence in Title Design” competition screening, created by Ian Albinson, and it’s called “A Brief History of Title Design”. Check it out below and go to Vimeo for full film credits.

Finally we have this viral video for Limitless that posits that Sir Richard Branson is on the drug NZT featured in the film. The viral for this film is solely focused on the idea that the drug is real, creating a marketing MacGuffin to draw people in. Does it work?

That’s it for this edition of Viral Video Round Up. If you see a cool viral video we should post, let us know in the comments below!
