First Look At “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” Could Lead to Virals Michael Lee, April 11, 2011April 11, 2011 WETA has unveiled our first look for Rise of the Planet of the Apes on the official Facebook Page. The four second clip is just a tease for coming events that are to hit later this week. Very quick, but it is a glimpse of what we can expect from the upcoming film directed by Rupert Wyatt. The page also says to look for a behind the scenes featurette on the creation of the apes on the official Avatar Facebook page. WETA is the Academy Award winning visual effects company that worked on films such as Avatar and Lord of the Rings. We have seen the marketing of teaser clips more often and this could pave the way for a viral given the fact that WETA is asking us to come back to another page. Remember when Battle: Los Angeles released a four second clip and had a huge viral campaign.
