Comic-Con Has a “Paranormal Activity” Viral Michael Lee, July 22, 2011July 22, 2011 While Dan is on the Comic-Con front lines, battling every Storm Trooper, Superman, and fantasy geek and taking home Slave Leias as his prize, I am here giving out all the help that I can for news that is happening outside sunny San Diego. For instance, a small viral campaign has been set up by the folks over at Paramount. Recently the studio released the teaser trailer for Paranormal Activity 3. Fans familiar with the series know its all about the found footage with the Paranormal franchise, and with this viral it seems quite fitting. So hit the jump to see what its all about. The studio has been handing out postcards for Darren’s Timeless Memories, a service that provides its customers with transferring all their VHS tapes into quality DVDs. Of course there are cheesy effects, you can tell this was purposely half assed just by looking at the quality of the video, but there is a lot more to it than just that. Anagrams for KATIE are there, and as with all viral campaigns, the anagrams are subtle. But if you pause the player at the right moment where he features all the services he provides you will notice the anagram. Not going to tell you when it is, just know that it is there. We here at movieviral.com will be keeping a close watch at this site to be sure it is more than what it seems. And for those who haven’t seen it yet, here is the teaser trailer for Paranormal Activity 3 News Viral Marketing Paranormal Activity 3
