Loud Noises Possible Viral For “Godzilla” or “Cloverfield 2”? Caleb Hamilton, January 23, 2012January 27, 2012 Sometimes strange videos hit the web and create an uproar. We’ve seen things from UFO’s hovering over football games to a man sawing a parking meter in half. The latest strange video making the rounds compiles footage from around the world in which a loud, mechanical sound is heard. Could this be viral for Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla reboot, the rumored sequel to Cloverfield or something else entirely? Check out the video after the break.http://youtu.be/GZ2ZcmMxehk?hd=1If this were viral for a film, I’d guess it would be Godzilla. Godzilla’s roar is very mechanical, much like the sounds in the video. It could also very well be viral for Cloverfield 2, but unlikely since J.J. Abrams has just started production on Star Trek 2. There is also the chance that this could be a very elaborate hoax, possibly trying to scare those who believe the world will be ending this year. What do you think it is? Sorry Caleb,This is not even an eloborate hoax. Not only was every shot indentically in the way they were shot, not once did the camera person say anything while shooting these videos which is inconsistant with shooting something of this nature, there is no excitement or curious people asking in the background what is that sound and where is it coming from, indicaating that thiese videos were all shot by the same person. There is only one shot with two guys in the forest looking confused. There wasn’t a single person in any of the other shots and not one person came out of any of their homes or stopped on the street to look up or around to see where all that noise was coming from. Indicating the sound was added in post. Also the camera movement was indentical in every shot, indicating they were all shot by the same person. No not elaborate enough to be believable. Definitely a poorly executed hoaz.
Correction! Sorry CalebThis is not even an eloborate hoax. Not only was every shot indentical in the way they were shot, not once did the camera person say anything while shooting these videos which is inconsistant with shooting something of this nature, there is no excitement from the camera person or even curious people in the background asking what is that sound and where is it coming from, indicating that these videos were all shot by the same person. There is only one shot with two guys in the forest looking confused. There wasn’t a single person in any of the other shots reacting to the sounds and not one person came out of any of their homes or stopped on the street to look up or around to see where all that noise was coming from. Indicating the sound was added in post. Also the camera movement was indentical in every shot, indicating they were all shot by the same person. No not elaborate enough to be believable. Definitely a poorly executed hoax. But it did get me to watch it.
I believe I found the sound is from the video game Mass Effect 3. It is the sound of the Reapers. It could be a viral for that. Watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bytxqeUMPU Around 3:14 to 3:16 the sound plays
This sound is “multichannel” broadcast. Someone is trying to communicate with us. Multichannel is a group of channels of different information combined and then simultaneously transmitted. Us navy used this method all the time, very efficient.
I would love to believe they are a hoax, but my Dad called me all excited about the weird noise he heard last night @ 4 in the morning! He was awoken by it and actually went outside to see what it was! Before he even finished I know he was talking about the same thing as in the videos (I had previously watched them myself) . Then as I was talking with my Dad my mom and stepdad came over. My mom told me about a lady she works with talking about being out @ 4am and hearing that same noise! I am not down playing any of the explanations out there on these various videos, because I simply don’t know how to explain them myself! However it does creep me out that it seems to be a worldwide event, that is getting people all worked up, and as far as I can see is not being covered by news @ all!
If you watch the thumbnails @ the end it will direct u to other videos. if you watch a few of them it brings u to a company called HAARP (The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) which alot of people r calling it a weapon. Whether its true or not, I’m not sure. Its hard to tell when ARGs and viral campaigns are so prominent today.
this could be nothing or it may be sumthing, if u watch the thumbnail “Strange sounds in LA, CA” at the end of this video then watch the news clip “Strange noise” after that it will play some of the type of footage, but at 3:25 into the clip itstarts going into a dolby commercial for the release of Transformers coming to video on Sept 30, 2011. If you listen to the music the background effects are the same synthesised noises on these clips. interestingly enough, most of the clips are dated Sept 30, 2011. On a differant note, I followed up on the HAARP aspect of the video and came across their website http://www.haarp.alaska.edu/haarp/index.html. Well, right clicking and looking at the page info it seems that the page was modified on…you guessed it, Sept 30, 2011. Also, if you click on the contact page it refers you to the public affairs office of the air force research lab at the Kirtland air force base in New Mexico. Again, I may just be chasing vapors, but aren’t we all conspiracy theorists, I mean thats why we like ARGs and viral campaigns.
Well here’s a site I found that is documenting many of these “incidents”. Whether it is a viral or ARG, I can’t say. But it is interesting none the less. http://strangesoundsinthesky.com/
thats interesting… if you listen close, at about the 5:45 mark you can start to hear something cutting into the sound almost like talking right before the wind starts blowing into the mic. In the audio clean, farther down the page, up u can hear it a little better about the 2:45 mark.
I’m pretty sure this is viral. In the past week it seems to have settled down and people are just making videos to be viewed. Check this one out and tell me what you think?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epKqA4EwLNQ
