Browncoats Unite at SDCC 2012 for Firefly Reunion Panel! Caleb Hamilton, June 28, 2012June 29, 2012 It has been 10 years since the premiere of Joss Whedon’s Firefly, a show about the crew of a renegade “firefly-class” ship, the Serenity, after a civil war. Science Channel has been showing reruns of the short-lived series and will be at Comic-Con next month with three exclusive panels, one of which will bring the cast of Firefly back together to celebrate the show’s 10 year anniversary! More after the jump.For the first time ever, the cast of Firefly will reunite at the San Diego Comic-Con during a special 10-year anniversary panel on Friday, July 13th at 12:30 PT. Ever since the series premiered on Science Channel, it has become very popular. After its original, one season run ended, a film, Serenity, was released and fans have been rallying for the show to be revived.Series creator and executive producer Joss Whedon will attend, along with Nathan Fillion (Capt. Malcolm Reynolds), Alan Tudyk (“Wash” Washburn), Sean Maher (Dr. Simon Tam) and the rest of the crew of the Serenity! Fans will get to see never-before-seen footage from the show and there will definitely be some very buzz-worthy surprises. This is sure to be one of the most popular panels at this year’s show!
