Facebook Apps for “Pitch Perfect” and CBS’s “Vegas” Dan Koelsch, September 13, 2012 Two new Facebook Apps debuted recently for very different projects. Universal’s musical comedy Pitch Perfect comes out next month, and their Facebook app involves internet memes. The new CBS television drama Vegas might be more serious, but their Facebook app is just as glitzy. Get the details on both after the break. The Pitch Perfect app is called Let’s Meme This! It lets you use photos from the film to create your own Internet meme. You can use up to three images, and there is an approved gallery to check out. It’s a cool concept to try to appeal to the film’s young target demographic, but you can’t save your own work, so you have have to wait to see if it’s approved.The television series Vegas focuses on the early days of Las Vegas in the 1960s. With CBS’s Vegas Name Maker Facebook app, you put a photo of your face into the body of a rancher, mobster, or showgirl to find your Vegas Name. It’s a rather simple app, and I had a hard time fitting my face into their cut outs.Pitch Perfect opens in theaters on October 5th, and Vegas debuts September 25th at 10PM / 9PM Central on CBS.
