Trailers Weekly: “Smashed”, “Wreck-It Ralph”, “Stand Up Guys”, and “Lincoln”

TrailersWeekly

Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week provided us with so many trailers, so of course we will include our favorite ones this week, which includes Smashed, Wreck-It Ralph, Stand Up Guys, and Lincoln.

Smashed
The Beauty Inside star Mary ELizabeth Winstead stars in this drama about a young married couple using alcohol as the link to their romantic connection. But her relationship with her husband (Aaron Paul) is put to the test, when Winstead’s character decides to go sober.

Wreck-It Ralph
Disney’s latest animated feature is proving that its worthy of being a great comedy and heartfelt drama. As funny as the first trailer was, this new one is even funnier, but then it just blindsides you by tugging at your heartstrings. It clearly shows that this is more than a family movie, its something that can be enjoyed by everyone.

Stand Up Guys
This is not your old man’s Hangover movie, its something much darker and surprisingly more heart felt. When a man serves out a prison sentence, his best friend picks him up. Little does he know that his best friend must also kill him. Accepting his fate, the two break out a close friend from an retirement home and they go out on an all night bender. The film stars Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, and Alan Arkin.

Lincoln
This election year, watch Steven Spielberg and Daniel Day-Lewis reenact history with Lincoln. The powerful biopic will focus on the last few months of Abraham Lincoln’s presidential career as he tries to bring a peaceful end to the Civil War and put a stop to slavery.

What did you think of this week’s trailers? Which was your favorite? Do you agree with the Internet buzz? Of course, every week there are a lot more trailers, teasers, TV spots, and clips that we can’t cover, so go to TrailerAddict.com to see your favorites. You can also download trailers in HD at Apple.com, or the new iTunes Movie Trailers App on your iPhone or iPad.

It’s just not a good Lincoln movie if there are no vampires in it.
