Trailers Weekly: “The Hobbit”, “Skyfall”, “The Collection”, “Gambit”, and “Promised Land”

Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week provided us with so many trailers, so of course we will post our favorite ones this week, which includes The Hobbit, Skyfall, The Collection, Gambit, and Promised Land.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
The second trailer for the first part of Peter Jackson’s long-awaited The Hobbit Trilogy has finally arrived. The first trailer introduced us to the characters we would see in the film. This trailer reveals the plot and expands on the world known as Middle Earth. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens in theaters on December 14.

Skyfall
Javier Bardem plays as a dangerous sleek villain who has the data of every MI6 agent in his possession. The only person who could stop it is James Bond. This latest trailer features some new never before seen footage. Skyfall opens in theaters on November 9.

The Collection
A mysterious masked figure kills entire club on his own and takes the survivors hostage his an abandoned hotel full of deadly traps. A father desperate to save his daughter hires the one man who escaped a deadly experience. But when he enters, things have changed, and its up to him to save the daughter, his team, and himself from the masked man’s insanity. The Collection opens in theaters on November 30th.

Gambit
An overworked art curator devises a scheme where he would replaces the world’s most sought out piece of art with something that looks very similar but is worth much less. Joel and Etan Coen wrote the screenplay for the film. Gambit should open in theaters sometime in 2013

Promised Land
Gus Van Sant reunites with Matt Damon for this drama that centers on the controversial use of fracking, a dangerous practice of extracting oil and natural gas. Promised Land opens in limited theaters on December 28th, and expands for a full release in January.
