Trailers Weekly: “Django Unchained”, “Safe Haven”, “The Evil Dead”, “A Good Day To Die Hard”

Michael Lee, October 27, 2012

Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week provided us with so many trailers, so of course we will post our favorite ones this week, which include Django Unchained, Safe Haven, The Evil Dead, and A Good Day To Die Hard. Hit the jump for more.

Django Unchained
Quentin Tarantino’s first true western stars Jamie Foxx as the titular hero and his bounty hunter pal Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz). Together they cross the the great American frontier to rescue Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) from the sadistic slave owner Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio). Django Unchained opens in theaters on December 25.

Safe Haven
This film is your typical, generic, and very dull romantic drama. But what else can you expect from a film adapted from a Nicolas Sparks novel. Oh yeah, you can expect that any theaters showing the film will be filled with women hoping to be swooned by Josh Duhamel. THe film also stars Julianne Hough, David Lyons and Cobie Smulders.

The Evil Dead
A lot has been said about how bad remakes really are, but The Evil Dead could make a case for why they can be good if done properly. Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are on board as producers for the film, which is directed by Fede Alverez. The Evil Dead stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Jessica Lucas, Lou Taylor Pucci and Elizabeth Blackmore. The film opens in theaters on April 12.

A Good Day To Die Hard
There’s nothing really new about this trailer. Mary Elizabeth Winstead makes an appearance in this trailer. We also get to have a look at the plot for the film. Bruce Willis, of course, returns to reprise his role, and Jai Courtney plays his son. The film opens in theaters on February 14.

What did you think of this week’s trailers? Which was your favorite? Do you agree with the Internet buzz? Of course, every week there are a lot more trailers, teasers, TV spots, and clips that we can’t cover, so go to TrailerAddict.com to see your favorites. You can also download trailers in HD at Apple.com, or the new iTunes Movie Trailers App on your iPhone or iPad.
