Trailers Weekly: “Passion”, “Inside Llewyn Davis”, “The Boxtrolls”, “Delivery Man”, “Lovelace” Michael Lee, July 6, 2013July 13, 2013 Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week we have trailers for Passion, Inside Llewyn Davis, The Boxtrolls, Delivery Man, and Lovelace. Hit the jump to check out all the trailers. Passion Brian Del Palma’s latest directorial effort is literally a tale of Passion. The film stars Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams, who play as two rising corporate execs who will use anything in their power to get to the top. Passion opens in theaters on August 30th. Inside Llewyn Davis Too much time has passed between Coen brother features, but at least we are getting one. Inside Llewyn Davis centers on a folk singer Dave Van Ronk’s memoir of his travels and career of the 1960s. Oscar Issac plays Ronk. Issac is joined by Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan, John Goodman, Garrett Hedlund, Adam Driver, and many more. THe film will open in theaters on December 6. The Boxtrolls What I really like about this Boxtrolls trailer is not that its yet another stop-motion animated film from Laika, but parts of the message came after DOMA was repealed. Directed by Anthony Stacchi and Graham Annable, Boxtrolls is based on an Alan Snow novel of the same name. The Boxtrolls opens in theaters on September 26, 2014. The Delivery Man Vince Vaughn plays a delivery man both literally and metaphorically. In this heartwarming comedy, Vaughn plays a going no where fast character who comes to find out that he is the father of 533 children, after he made an annyomous donation to the sperm bank. Cobie Smulders and Chris Pratt also star. Delivery Man opens in theaters on October. 3. Lovelace The film is based on the infamous porn star and feminist hero of the same name. Lovelace played at the Sundance film festival to lukewarm reviews, most critics said that the film does not go deep enough. Lovelace stars Amanda Seyfried, who plays the titular character, who was well known for her act on Deep Throat as well as some other acts that were considered vile and repulsive, which were forced upon her by her abusive husband (Peter Sarsgaard) Lovelace opens in theaters on August 9.
