Maleficent
Earlier this year, MovieViral got to check out an early preview of Maleficent, the Angelina Jolie starring vehicle featuring the actress in the titular role. The film will focus on the Sleeping Beauty villain origins story and how the the once pure fairy turned into an ice cold sorcerer. Maleficent also stars Elle Fanning, Sharlto Copley, Juno Temple, and more. The film opens in theaters on May 30, 2014.
Divergent
In a futuristic Chicago where its citizens are classified by personality, Tris (Shailene Woodley) stands alone. Unlike the others around her, she cannot be classified and is known as the rare Divergent. But the government is out to exterminate all Divergents. Kate Winslet, Ray Stevenson, Mekhi Phifer, Maggie Q, Jai Courtney, Miles Teller, Zoë Kravitz also star in the film from director Neil Burger. Divergent opens in theaters on March 21, 2014.
Noah
Darren Aronofsky‘s Noah is in a bit of a kerfuffle. Aronofsky has one vision while Paramount Pictures has a completely different vision. Based on the Biblical story of the same name Noah receives a message from God that a great flood is coming and that he will be tasked to save all of God’s creatures. Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, and Emma Watson star. March 28, 2014.

Tar is a 2012 drama film written and directed by twelve New York University film students Edna Luise Biesold, Sarah-Violet Bliss, Gabrielle Demeestere, Alexis Gambis, Shruti Ganguly, Brooke Goldfinch, Shripriya Mahesh, Pamela Romanowsky, Bruce Thierry Cheung, Tine Thomasen, Virginia Urreiztieta and Omar Zúñiga Hidalgo. It stars James Franco, Henry Hopper, Mila Kunis, Jessica Chastain and Zach Braff. It premiered on November 16, 2012 at the Rome Film Festival.
