The Normal Heart
Following films like The Dallas Buyers Club, The Normal Heart follows the early days of the AIDS outbreak in New York City as activists and victims attempt to get the city and population at large to recognize the serious nature of the new disease. Mark Ruffalo, Matt Bomer, Taylor Kitsch, Jim Parsons, and Julia Roberts. HBO will release the film on May 25.
Chrononaut
Writer/director Zach Lipovsky’s pitch about a time traveling mech suit wearing family who must fulfill the patriarchal mother’s dying wish to spread her ashes in a remote cave. Byt when they become trapped inside, they find a futuristic safe house and a time machine capable of bringing her back. They must learn to work together to fight threats from their future and escape the cave alive. Lipovsky actually hopes to shoot a live-action verison of this film. The animated teaser took four months to make.
The Grand Budapest Hotel
Not that you need to be reminded of how awesome this film is, but here is a look at the red band trailer for Wes Anderson‘s The Grand Budapest Hotel, out in theaters now, and expanding nationwide later this month
Noah
Starring Russell Crowe, Anthony Hopkins, Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly, Douglas Booth, Logan Lerman, and Ray Winstone, the Darren Aronofsky-directed film is based on the story of Noah’s Ark. It opens on March 28.
Get On Up
Chadwick Boseman (42), Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Nelsan Ellis, Lennie James, Tika Sumpter, Jill Scott, and Dan Aykroyd, star in Tate Taylor-directed James Brown-biopic. The film is set to open in theaters on August 1.
