Watch The First Six Minutes Of “The Upper Footage” Michael Lee, May 6, 2014May 6, 2014 Thanks in part to the relative IndieGoGo campaign success and its success on Viemo, the people behind The Upper Footage faux documentary have decided to reinvest in their passion project and release new marketing materials such as trailers, clips, an updated website, and introductory pieces. In light of this the filmmakers have released a brand new updated version of their last introductory video by releasing new footage and the opening six minutes of the film. Hit the jump to check it out. The film is an edited version of 393 minutes of footage recovered from the night of December 28th, 2009 in which a group of young socialites were involved in the death and cover-up of a young woman. While the filmmakers claim this to be real (the woman’s face and true identity are withheld in the film), there has been a lot of speculation over the years. Here is the opening six minutes:In the past, The Upper Footage marketing campaign consisted of whether or not the film is real or not, and have gone to posting fliers on public walls in New York City. The film has been making a few theater rounds in the past year, and saw much bigger success on Viemo. That success lead to this new campaign, and Quentin Tarantino reportedly buying into the project by investing some of his own money into it.It should be interesting to see how much further this project can go, hopefully word of mouth can help spread the word about The Upper Footage, because its exciting premise certainly deserves some of your attention.
