“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” Trailer: Don’t Underestimate Turtle Power And Dubstep Michael Lee, June 24, 2014June 24, 2014 Paramount Pictures has released the third trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The release comes after the studio’s viral marketing campaign had fans use social network to unlock four titular character posters, which took just a little over 24 hours to accomplish. Now that all four character posters have been revealed, the final trailer has been released. In it, we learn more about the plot of the film, hear the Turtles crack pop culture references, make sex jokes (because of course), finally get to see Shredder in action, and even poke fun at themselves (and the marketing itself). Hit the jump to see it. Considering that this is a Michael Bay produced film, its really not a surprise to see the trailer being released ahead of Transformers: Age of Extinction, which hits theaters this weekend. And like Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has a descent following, so of course any subsequent sequels all depends on the box office outcomes. Of course the this trailer would be filled with even more action than the previous trailer, have more jokes, and even add some dub step to it. But the trailer really hits hard with the final joke towards the end of the trailer, so if you have been following the marketing for the film – and all of its rumored titles – then you will probably laugh at how self deprciating the trailer is.Opening in theater on August 8, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stars Megan Fox, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, and Whoopi Goldberg. It is directed by Jonathan Liebesman. The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.
