Holiday Zombie Videos: Home Alone Mashup and Survival Guide Dan Koelsch, December 23, 2010 If Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is any indication, horror and Christmas go hand in hand. Modern pop culture seems to love mixing horror with almost anything (“Pride and Prejudice and Zombies”, anyone?), and the juxtaposition of horror and holiday cheer seems be the most popular way to channel this morbid desire. Case in point, we have too interesting, if disturbing, videos that do just that, specifically with zombies. Take a look after the break. First, we have a mashup of Home Alone and I Am Legend to create a tale of boy who must fend off zombies while alone on Christmas. Created by Jeff Schmalz. Second, we have “A VERY ZOMBIE HOLIDAY (Instructional video)” from Team Unicorn, which mocks those 1950s instructional videos by explaining how to fend off the undead during that special time of year.
