Help Choose The Ending of the “Clue”-centric 100th Episode of the TV Show “Psych”

Christopher Moore, March 25, 2013

Psych TV Show

To celebrate the 100th episode of the long-running USA comedic detective series Psych, they’re allowing fans to dictate how the show ends live on the air. To find out more about the episode and how you can participate in the vote this Wednesday, hit the jump for details.

After seven long seasons, the long-running USA Network TV show has finally hit its 100th episode and the creators are doing something very special. For those who have never seen the show, Psych stars James Roday as Shawn Spencer, a crime consultant for the Santa Barbara Police Department who uses his heightened observational skills to solve crimes under the guise that he has psychic abilities. Dulé Hill plays his best friend and mystery-solving sidekick, Burton “Gus” Guster. The show is known for paying homage to all kinds of TV shows and movies such as the Twin Peaks-inspired “Dual Spires” episode. This 100th episode is no exception with its ties to the classic movie Clue, based on the popular mystery boardgame of the same name.

In the episode entitled “100 Clues,” Shawn and Gus attend a party hosted by an aging rockstar named Billy Lipps (Steve Valentine,) a man the Santa Barbara Police Department arrested years ago for a murder he doesn’t remember committing. A death happens at the party’s mansion and Gus has to figure out which one of the bevy of guest stars committed the crime, including Garrett Morris and original Clue cast members, Christopher Lloyd, Lesley Ann Warren and Martin Mull.

Just like the movie Clue, several possible endings were filmed and the show is allowing the fans to decide who the revealed killer will be at the end of the episode. The suspects are listed on the USA Network Psych site and on the night of the episode you can vote there. The site also says you’ll be able to vote via Twitter, USA Sync, and on the USA mobile site on your tablet or smartphone. The 100th episode preview is below:

The 100th episode of Psych will premiere this coming Wednesday, March 27th at 10 pm/9 pm Central on the USA Network. You can check out the show’s official site for more details and follow the show on Twitter and like the show on Facebook.
