Trailers Weekly: “This Is The End”, “The Conjuring”, “Only God Forgives”, “The Great Gatsby”, & “Carrie” Michael Lee, April 6, 2013 Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week we have trailers for This Is The End, The Conjuring, Only God Forgives, The Great Gatsby, and Carrie. Hit the jump to see them all.This Is The End The world is ending, and it’s up to no one to save the day. Instead we get to watch a bunch of celebrities Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, and Craig Robinson, try to survive the aftermath of Apocalypse. This is the End opens in theaters on June 12. The Conjuring No found footage, no gratuitous amounts of gore or blood, just good old fashion suspense and scares in James Wan’s The Conjuring. Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, Lily Taylor, and Ron Livingston star. WB will release The Conjuring on July 19th. Only God Forgives There is a surprisingly lack of blood smearing in the first trailer for Nicholas Winding Refn’s Only God Forgives. The filmmaker reteams with his Drive star Ryan Gosling for this revenge drama about a drug runner who fronts as a Thai Boxing Blub owner who seeks vengeance on those who killed his brother. No release date has been set. The Great Gatsby Directed by Baz Luhrmann from a script by himself and Craig Pearce, based on the acclaimed novel written by F. Scott Fitzgerld of the same name. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton and Isla Fisher. The film hits theaters on May 10. Carrie Chloe Grace Moretz stars in this remake of the Brian De Palma classic, which was an adaptation of the Steven King classic, about a high school girl named Carrie who is the target of pranks, bullying, and other vile high school cruelty. She believes that she has been asked to the prom by the most popular boy in school. Little does she know, that she will be the target of the most henious act any high school has ever seen. Little do the prankesters know that Carrie possesses a devilish power they will make them regret they ever bullied her. Carrie opens in theaters on October 18.
