Help Kickstart “Lucid”, a Movie about a Deadly Virus, Time Travel and Love

With all the independent films being crowdsourced nowadays, it’s always nice to come across an online campaign that exudes the right level of quality, craftsmanship and passion behind a project. The Kickstarter page for the feature film, Lucid, is one of those perfect examples. Find out more info about the film and watch their Kickstarter campaign video after the jump.

Per their Kickstarter page:

Lucid is a dramatic thriller written by Melinda Cohen and Adam Roa and directed by Ravi Vora. It tells the story of Seth, a storybook artist, who has fled to a remote cabin after a deadly virus has wiped out humanity. He lives in isolation, injecting himself with a daily Antidote until one day, Seth’s only syringe is compromised and he is forced to alter the state of the Antidote. This has an unexpected side effect: Seth can now travel back in time to when he first met Ari, the love of his life.

Their goal is to raise $70,000 to help make Lucid and as of writing this article, the campaign is already about a fourth of the way there. Along with the normal perks such as getting a copy of the movie in digital or physical form, they also offer some more interesting perks including a handmade unisex necklace, a thirty minute Skype consultation/makeover with their head of wardrobe/set designer and use of a person’s photo for a key scene in the movie.

Here’s their Kickstarter video which does a wonderful job of selling the film to the masses:

You can check out Lucid‘s Kickstarter page for additional information as well as to pledge money to their cinematic cause. You can also follow the film on Twitter, like the film on Facebook and check out the film’s Instagram account.
