Today WB presented the final chapter of The Hobbit trilogy, The Hobbit: The Battle Of Five Armies. Peter Jackson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Phlippa Boyens, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lilly, Luke Evans, Andy Sekris, Graham McTavis, Lee Pace, and Elijah Wood, all showed up to talk about the film. BUt more importantly, we an early look at the teaser trailer for the film. Hit the jump to read more.

In the trailer we see the impending war that is about to happen, and how each of the armies are preparing to fight. The scene opens with Bilbo (Martin Freeman) talking about how after this battle future generations will “remember the good, the bad, those who survived, and those who didn’t.” It sets a pretty ominous tone to the great war that will be fought. Some of the other scenes include Smaug scorching a town with his great dragon fire, Galadriel (Blanchett) kiss a seemingly injuried looking Gandalf (Ian McKellen) on the forehead. We also see Bard the Bowman (Evans) walk down a flight of steps and his army of bowman about face towards him with respect. But also we see Bard ask Thorin (Richard Armitage) if he will have peace, or if he will have war. To which Thorin responds, we will have war. Then before the trailer ends, we hear Thorin ask Bilbo, if he will follow him one last time. The teaser closes with the eye of Saurmon giving off a deadly glow.

Pretty exciting, Jackson said that this trailer should be debuting to the world soon enough.

Here are just a few of the things that were mentioned during the panel.

Battle sequences, a lot of intricate things, animations in terms of the big creatures, he is still shooting the movie. WB won’t let him stop shooting the movie.

For some of the cast this is the first time they have met together.

This is not at comical as the last movies, but it is fun, according to Peter Jackson.

Benedict Cumberbatch talked about some of the character difference between Smaug and
Sauron (the Necromancer), in terms of voices, tone, characterization, and more.
