Gareth Edwards Confirms Godzilla 2 And New King Of Monsters At Comic-Con Michael Lee, July 26, 2014July 26, 2014 Briefly: With the box office success of Godzilla, Legendary Pictures’ President Thomas Tull came out to announce that Gareth Edwards would indeed direct the tentatively titled Godzilla 2. Not much is known about the film, but it is expected that we would see more monsters the were created as a result of the Monarch Project. Tull mentioned that it would be a while before we would see the sequel considering that Edwards is busy directing a Star Wars spinoff film, but the filmmaker is locked in for another go around with the King of the Monsters. But it is that Monarch Teaser Secret Footage that was teased that really got the crowd roaring. We see that President John F. Kennedy is calling for the nations’ leaders to deal with the results of the experiments that were carried out on bikini island. During that footage, three legendary monsters popped up. We saw the shadow of Rodan fly through the skies, but also the names of Mothra and Ghidorah flashed before the audiences eye, which caused them to cheer even louder.
