2012: News We Can Use? Scott Caldwell, September 11, 2009September 11, 2009 A while back, I mentioned that was there a possibility of more viral sites based on the 2012 campaign. This being from the pyramids that were given to those who completed the leadership testing. Well, not to toot my own horn, but…… TOOT!Charlie Frost tweeted as well as posted an update on his blog, ThisIsTheEnd.com. It seems as if there a new site up that has been posting a couple articles in the area of 2012 news.News Done Right is mentioned by Mr. Frost as being “on the ball”. Well, three articles do not really put them on top of their game, but I have a feeling this will bring us answers in regards to the mentioned codecs from my previous article. You can also get the breakdown of all 10 codecs on Charlie’s blog. Now it’s been pointed out in the forum (here) that this site does not have the usual look to the “experience” links that Sony gives us on all of the other viral sites. This however could be that most viral campaigns have that one site that doesn’t really fit the lineup like D-9’s MathsfromOuterSpace or Cloverfield’s Missing Teddy Hansen. We did check into it, and it is in fact owned by Sony Pictures so one can hope that this will bring us more pieces. So we can add this to the ongoing list of viral sites, along with the phone number hack we listed last week. There have since been a few more messages left for Dr. Ulfert. Take a listen when you have a chance. One gentlemen seems a little scared. I wonder why. What do you think, a new site for updates, or just filler? Let us know what you think. 2012 opens November 13th in the US. Viral Marketing 2012CloverfieldDistrict 9

Viral Watch: Team Conan or Team Leno? Either Way, NBC is Dying January 12, 2010NBC has tried to embrace viral marketing by launching multiple campaigns for shows like The Office, Community, and even Late Night, but it seems that NBC is now shooting themselves in the foot. I’ll admit their not “launching” a campaign this time, but their recent handling of the Jay Leno-Conan… Read More
The Green Hornet Gets Augmented September 13, 2010September 13, 2010We haven’t had a lot of augmented reality news lately, which has led me to believe the fad, which looks to have reached its movie advertising peak last year, has started to fade. Fortunely it’s not completely dead, as Columbia Pictures’ The Green Hornet lets you test out the Black… Read More
