Viral Video: Lucas Re-Edits Star Wars Opening Text Dan Koelsch, January 19, 2010January 21, 2010 As a purist Star Wars fan who also loves modern technology, I’ve often been conflicted with the re-edits George Lucas has done to the original Star Wars trilogy (once in 1997 and again in 2004). Sure, there are some scenes that look bad-ass and definitely improve on the original 70s and 80s effects, but there are also other moments that pissed me off, like making Anakin’s ghost Hayden Christensen, or the cardinal sin of making Greedo shoot first. I could write an entire blog about it, but I think my feelings are summed up pretty nicely in this video by Collegehumor. In it, George Lucas decides to go back and re-edit even the iconic opening text to his heralded saga. Take a look after the jump. See more funny videos and funny pictures at CollegeHumor.
