King Kong Sightings In Los Angeles Area Alex Gerage, June 5, 2010 He might have been made famous standing atop the Empire State Building in New York City, but it appears King Kong has found a new home in sunny Southern California. In conjunction with the release of the new King Kong 360 3D attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood this summer, a series of viral events have taken place in Los Angeles. A couple of videos have appeared on the Universal Studios YouTube channel showing just what went down. Check out the footage after the jump. The two videos offer a glimpse of the aftermath of Kong’s rampage through Dodger’s Stadium and the Santa Monica Pier. Universal wants this ride to be a hit, so it’s no surprise that the video and event as a whole look really well done (although some will argue that those footprints look more human than gorilla). With Peter Jackson providing the creative juices and Universal promising the “largest, most intense 3-D experience on the planet,” there is a lot to look forward to with this ride. Check out the spots below: Has anyone in the Los Angeles area seen these footprints or other Kong “sightings?” Let us know in the comments section. We’ll post more videos if Kong makes another appearance. The brand new King Kong attraction opens at Universal Studios Hollywood this summer. Viral Marketing DisneyworldKing Kongtheme parkUniversal
