We’ve already seen Adidas get in on the action, and now Google is paying a little homage to the sport. In other soccer news, we have video of Woody Harrelson kicking a penalty goal. Find out what that’s all about after the break. As you can see above, Google’s latest doodle is a little different. Instead changing their header title, they have altered their footer to spell “Gooooooooooal!” when you search for “world cup” or variation thereof. It’s not as elaborate as their Pac-Man doodle, but this is America where people don’t watch soccer. So, what’s this about Oscar-nominated actor Woody Harrelson? UNICEF had their Soccer Aid 2010 event on Sunday, which raises money for the organization. The soccer match pits England against the rest of the world, and usually includes many celebrities and soccer legends. This year’s match included Mike Myers and others, but it was Woody himself who won the day by kicking a penalty goal. Check out that video below.
