Comic-Con Sunday Programming Schedule Announced Dan Koelsch, July 11, 2010 Comic-Con International is releasing their daily schedules for San Diego Comic-Con exactly two weeks before each day occurs, so today we have the Sunday July 25th schedule. Sunday is Kids Day, so there are plenty of featured programs for the young ones . After the jump we’ll highlight a few of the programs from the day that peak our interest. 10:30-11:30 ABC’s Castle: Nathan Fillion & Stana Katic— Up close and personal with actors Nathan Fillion (Firefly) and Stana Katic (Quantum of Solace), creator Andrew Marlowe (Air Force One), and executive producers Rob Bowman (X-Files) and Laurie Zaks. BE sure to be on hand for the Q&A session, filled with exclusive videos and fun surprises. Whether you’re a fan of the show or a fan of Nathan Fillion, you won’t want to miss this panel! Room 6BCF12:00-2:00 Browncoats Fan Group— Fans of Firefly and Serenity are welcome to join the California Browncoats. Get the scoop on upcoming ‘verse-related and ‘verse-friendly events and products that you’ll really love. Drop by any time to join the fun and find out what the group is up to, but those arriving by 12:20 can enter to play “Serenity Spin”: put your ‘verse-related trivia to the test to win shiny prizes! You never know what else might happen! Room 32AB1:30-2:30 Glee— One year after the cast and creators of Glee came to Comic-Con for the first time, the show has exploded with blockbuster ratings, number-one albums and a sold-out concert tour. Get an exclusive first look at what’s in store for season 2 from executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, along with stars Chris Colfer, Amber Riley, Jenna Ushkowitz, Kevin McHale, Mark Salling, Heather Morris, and Naya Rivera, as they share some never-before-seen footage, spill behind-the-scenes secrets, and take questions from the crowd. Ballroom 202:00-3:00 Harry Potter Fandom Panel— This summer sees the Harry Potter series and fandom slip into the future with the close of filming on Deathly Hallows and the grand opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando. What is the impact on the fans, fandom, and their future? Insights from Melissa Anelli (webmaster of The Leaky Cauldron and author of Harry: A History), Darren Criss (actor/composer, A Very Potter Musical, A Very Potter Sequel), Leslie Combemale (ArtInsights Gallery, official/exclusive HP art supplier), Eddie Newquist (executive producer, Harry Potter: The Exhibition) and Andrew Slack (HP Alliance Creator and Executive Producer). Moderated by Heidi Tandy (HPEF/Ascendio 2012, FictionAlley). Room 24ABC4:00-5:00 Buffy the Musical— Let’s end this show with a bang! The powers that be behind Fandom Charities Inc. and Whedonopolis.com present a screening of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode “Once More With Feeling” as Comic-Con 2010’s big closing event! Many say this is the finest, funniest, most ingenious episode ever to come out of the Buffy-verse. But remember, the best part of the show is up to you! This episode was made for talkin’ — back, that is — and singing and shouting and dancing in the aisles, with or without your dry cleaning! Audience participation: it isn’t just for Rocky Horror and mob riots anymore. Ballroom 20 Sunday at Comic-Con is notoriously light on film and television events, so it looks like a Nathan Fillion day for me. This is the last day, so we’ll make sure to wrap everything up nicely for those who missed out. What panels would you like us to cover on Sunday? If you’re going to Comic-Con, which of the programs are you planning to attend?
