The Event: New Blog Post From The TruthSeeker Dan Koelsch, September 21, 2010September 26, 2010 The Event premiered last night on NBC to decent ratings and mixed reviews. The viral campaign (which we reported on yesterday) is now in full swing as The Truthseeker updates his blog. Also, a few Twitter updates give us clues into the characters. Obviously, a few spoilers abound after the break. The climax of last night’s show had Leila’s father take over a plane, with Sean trying to convince him to not go through with his plan. We see the plane about to fly directly into President Martinez and his family when the plane suddenly disappears. Based on TruthSeeker’s latest blog post, the government is hiding the incident pretty well, but someone on the plane was able to take video and send it before the plane vanished. Watch the passenger’s video below. In Twitter news, Greg Kervin‘s status has been updated to say “[Account terminated.]”, which probably means he’s either dead or part of the plan to kidnap Leila (which seems more likely). Also, JBLovesMarla tweeted “Just heard that the man who broke into our cabin killed another passenger. You’re not safe anywhere these days.” Who did he kill? Granted, I saw the pilot a few weeks ago, but I don’t remember him being accused of killing anyone. What did you think of the series premiere for The Event? Waay too many flash forwards, flash backs and I think there might have been a few flash sideways. I’m done with this one. Let someone else watch it but I won’t anymore.
The Event is my favorite show now. For any one who hates the show because it switches in time doesn’t understand why It’s like that. How else are they goning to show you why all of this is happening. Plus, it adds suspence.
As of now, it’s still on the air. We’ll know by May if it’s picked up for a second season. We haven’t really covered the viral because its just a rehash of the show’s story.
