Watch the Live “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” WETA Chat Right Here! (Updated with Footage) Dan Koelsch, April 13, 2011April 13, 2011 Livestream will be hosting an interview with the WETA visual effects team for the upcoming film Rise of the Planet of the Apes called “Weta Live: ‘Apes’ Revealed”, and it goes down at 2:30PM PT/5:30PM ET today. You can watch it right here by clicking through. The film, starring Mark Wahlberg James Franco, reimagines the original “of the Apes” film series (which I loved) by taking us back to the original ape uprising that started the change in command. We showed you the first quick glimpse at the new ape design on Monday, and a 15 second clip will be made available after the chat, so we’ll update this article with that once it’s up. The full trailer is expected to hit the Internet tonight at midnight, and the film opens on August 5th. apeswillrise on livestream.com.
