Become a Test Subject For the Human Preservation Project Dan Koelsch, May 24, 2011June 1, 2011 A MovieViral reader who goes by Jonny Quest has clued us in to a pretty interesting alternate reality game website. The site is TestSubjectsNeeded.com, and is part of what these people are calling the Human Preservation Project. What is it for, and was it found? Get the details after the break. When you go to the website, you are greeted with a long paragraph about how the tests are not conventional and that they are looking for particular people to undergo experiments that will seemingly enhance their senses. The flashing “Start Evaluation Now” link takes you to the test, which is a LOST/Clockwork Orange barrage of images and sounds accompanied by questions about how you feel and such. It’s actually a bit disturbing. After your test, the site asks you to create a profile and sign up. They don’t say who they are, only that this is for the Human Preservation Project. There don’t seem to be any clues as to what they’re preserving us from, or how enhancing senses (if that is even what they are planning to do) would achieve that. What we do know, also thanks to Jonny, is that this is probably a campaign for 5 Gum, a brand of Wrigley gum whose slogan, “Stimulate Your Senses”, flashes on the screen near the end of the test. If true, it’s a bit of a let down, but a smart viral marketing ploy nontheless. Jonny found the site through a bit of morse code in the DC comic Flashpoint. What do you think of the site? Is it a letdown if this is for gum? Let us know in the comments below. Viral Marketing FlashPointTest Subjects NeededWrigley
Super 8 Viral: Craigslist Postings Are Gone! July 31, 2010August 25, 2010Go back to a month ago, and one of the speculations involved with Super 8, were some Craigslists pages found by the hard working crew at Unfiction. Piranha 3D Sequel To Let Fans Choose a Celebrity To Get Eaten September 3, 2010Let’s get your first question out of the way. Yes, there will be a Piranha 3D sequel (Piranha 3D2?). Sure, the horror comedy has only made $20 million going into its third weekend in theaters, but that’s almost the film’s production cost, so the Weinstein Company must see potential for… Read More

Yeah it’s definitely from the Gum, but I logged in, created my badge and now the only thins that shows is a red countdown clock, lol don’t know what to do next
dude I got something in the mail from this shit and its like a flashing light and a peice of paper with one of those codes. does anyone know what the coordinates are?or where they point to?
I recieved my test subject identification card in the mail today from the Human Preservation Project. Inside was a pack of 5 Gum “Swerve”. Inside the gum is a url http://www.survivalcode.com/test, a code and a 2D barcode. Coincidence? I think not.
I rec’d the little lightning flutter – you know the old paper helicopter thing with a button strobe. I scanned the code that came with it and it sent me to the website. on the back of your inserted badge is a type of maze with some dots with arrows in them interesting! and the pack of gum has a scan box and a code and a web site. More and more interesting.
I’m a reporter working on a story about this game and would like to talk to you and any others that have played this game. Could you e-mail me at julie.jargon@wsj.com so we can connect by phone? Thanks.
I think this is very interesting. It reminds me of Lost, obviously (since Lock is one of the main characters) Lots of fun though! I just started, and it’s an interesting branding thing anyways. I’m buying more gum to get more codes to play more. (Obviously it works, and I enjoy that. haha)
