Mouth-Taped-Shut.com: Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Viral Marketing or Just an Early Look? Michael Lee, September 6, 2011September 9, 2011 As ominously silent as the snow covered entrance to the mansion is in David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is, the marketing is mute. We haven’t seen or heard too much from the film outside the suspected leaked red band trailer, the official trailer, and the teaser site for the soundtrack. But a new site called mouth-taped-shut.com, which is actually more like a tumblr, seems to have a very close connection to the film and is giving us am early behind the scenes look. While this site may not have any ARG aspects, if any at all, fans will certainly appreciate what it has to offer. The tumblr appears to have some “leaked” footage of filming and the editing process. Slashfilm, who was the first to find out about the site, thinks that it is being run by someone on the inside and that he or she is very close to Fincher. Slashfilm is also unsure if this is an official web site released by Sony. We will be keeping a close eye on this should any thing viral pop up. Below are some of images from the site. Here is the video from the title image. It appears that an account has also been created. So is it a viral? Or is it mysterious marketing? Tell us what you think.
