“Tower Heist” Facebook App Lets You Steal Facebook Credits

Dan Koelsch, October 16, 2011October 16, 2011

Universal Pictures’ Tower Heist is an action comedy about workers of a high-rise who conspire to steal $20 million from their employer who swindled them out of their life-savings. You can start your own heist on Facebook with the film’s Heist It Back Facebook App. Get the details after the break.

There are one million Facebook credits up for grab, and you can easily steal some for doing even simple tasks. This official press release sums it up pretty tightly in this snippet:

Fans are rewarded with Facebook Credits when they click a “Heist” button, get their friends to join the heist, or share a story of how they got their own brand of payback. Facebook Credits received through the “Heist it Back” promotion will be immediately deposited into the user’s Facebook account, and can be used in Facebook games and apps to buy virtual goods.

So, get your Facebook fortune and blow it on Farmville supplies!

Tower Heist, directed by Brett Ratner, is in theaters nationwide November 4th. The film’s star-studded ensemble cast includes Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Casey Affleck, Alan Alda, Matthew Broderick, Judd Hirsch, Téa Leoni, Michael Peña, and Gabourey Sidibe. Follow the film on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
