“The Devil Inside” Ends With a Link, and Fan Screening Gets First Hand Possession Dan Koelsch, January 7, 2012January 7, 2012 While the reviews for this weekend’s new horror film The Devil Inside have been mixed at best, there is one thing most audiences have been unhappy about: the end. Get the details about the unusual ending for the found-footage exorcism thriller after the break, as well as how one audience got to witness their own possession in the theater. The Devil Inside is a mockumentary set in 2009 about Isabella Rossi (played by Fernanda Andrade), who finds a Catholic pastor to perform a series of unauthorized exorcisms on her mother, Maria Rossi (Suzan Crowley). 20 years earlier, Maria had committed a triple murder while being exorcised. Unfortunately, during this set of exorcisms, which are being filmed for scientific purposes, things go terribly wrong. The marketing acts like this is all real, claiming the video is the only evidence left of the exorcisms, and the Vatican doesn’t endorse the film.Just when the movie looks like it is going somewhere, it ends with a link to a website to learn more about the case. The Rossi Files is full of video embeds from the film’s YouTube channel that show various videos of Maria in a mental hospital, Isabella as a child, and more. There are also in-world character bios and several links to the Vatican and sites about exorcism. Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think.I haven’t seen the movie myself, so I don’t know how abruptly it ended or if the website helps give closure where the film did not. Did you see The Devil Inside? What did you think of the ending? In other news, there was a fan screening for the film Thursday night in Los Angeles, and the audience got more than they bargained for. See for yourself below.I think I would have freaked out if that happened in front of me. Viral Marketing Viral Videos The Devil InsideThe rossi files

Nike Finally Takes Us “Back to the Future” September 7, 2011Remember those cool, self-lacing shoes Marty McFly wore in Robert Zemeckis’ 1989 follow up to Back to the Future? At the time, they were purely product placement and special effects, but fanboys and girls everywhere have been wanting to own a pair for 22 years. Nike never had plans to… Read More
Omaze And NetFlix Team Up For A Tasty “House Of Cards” Contest July 16, 2014July 16, 2014Often times I wonder if any of the restaurants seen in shows exist or not. While some are built sets, others are actual locations with the names changed for legal purposes of course. And while you may be able to find some of the restaurants used in films or tv… Read More
The movie ending is sudden and frustrates at first, however, after I exited the theather,it just seemed to me to be the most appropriate and smart way of ending the movie. What else could be done there? It didn’t make sense to have a “happy ending”, and this is not intended to be a “horror for the sake of horror” film either. People are failing to realize that the movie is an honest attempt to depict what actual exorcisms are in real life! I recommend everyone to watch the movie and look at it this way, it makes a lot of difference! I consider it an excellent movie!
I did leave the movie thinking crappy ending but later thought, WOW what else was I wanting from this type of film. It left me wondering about these things and if you believe in God you have to believe this is possible and happening today. As for the Church I do think they hide alot of thing for us just like the government. Good movie everyone need to quit looking for a fairy tale ending to everything.
Ok I just saw this movie and when it abruptly ended a lady in the back of the theater exclaimed “I want my money back.” This was a horrible movie. First it was really slow and drawn out and the ending really did suck. I never expected a happy ending but it was very lame to end the way it did…spoiler alert….in a car accident right after Isabella Rossi is possessed by the demon that possessed her mother.
I AGREE with the majority the ending was a dissapointment and it could of ended better but I also agree when I left the theater wondering about possesion
About the screening in the Church, I think they were shown Paranormal Activity 3 instead and paid to say it is scary. The reactions I got in the Columbia Mall were like REFUND!!!
You’re a fuckin idiot jpamar they could have added a extra hour on the movie nobody’s looking for a happy ending you fag Im tired of people tryin to take it for what it is what it was is a terrible ending worst ending ever in a movie it seems like they ran out of money and said let’s end it in a car crash and call it a movie
I saw the movie last nite with a bunch of friends. It did end pretty bad, but i already knew that going in because i read the reviews on flixster. It reminded me of paranormal activity in a way. The plot was ok. I think the best thing about the movie were the special effects. The way they made the bodies move and make those crazy bone popping noises was awesome.
The movie did end abruptly leaving movie goers unsatisfied, but I think audiences are conditioned to resolutions and happy endings. It was a mockumentary, but someone filming would definitely have a steadier camera hand. The first 30 minutes were hard on the eyes.
Looks like an old William Castle stunt. Next time they should post registered nurses in the lobby, or offer free insurance against DEATH BY FRIGHT.
I couldn’t believe I actually paid $11.75 + 9.50 for popcorn and a drink to sit threw that movie. I was sadly misled when told it was worth it.
