Trailers Weekly: “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World,” “Iron Sky”, and “The Bourne Legacy” Dan Koelsch, February 11, 2012February 11, 2012 Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. We’ve already shown you the second trailer The Amazing Spider-Man, and this week we also have our first trailer for Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, the US trailer for Iron Sky, and the teaser trailer for The Bourne Legacy. Watch them all after the break. Seeking a Friend for the End of the WorldThis quirky End of the World comedy, starring Steve Carrell and Keira Knightley, opens June 22nd and is written and directed by Lorene Scafaria. The trailer is pretty funny, I think it has a lot of potential. Fortunately, the positive Internet buzz seems to agree with me. Iron SkyThe independent Finnish sci-fi comedy has already gotten an international trailer, but now we have a US trailer. The Internet loves Nazis from the moon and great special effects. The Bourne LegacyThe latest edition to the Bourne series, opening August 3rd, stars Jeremy Renner as another rogue Treadstone agent. It looks promising, and while the Internet commentators may miss Matt Damon in the starring role, they agree that Renner is a good replacement. What did you think of this week’s trailers? Which was your favorite? Do you agree with the Internet buzz? Of course, every week there are a lot more trailers, teasers, TV spots, and clips that we can’t cover, so go to TrailerAddict.com to see your favorites. You can also download trailers in HD at Apple.com, or the new iTunes Movie Trailers App on your iPhone or iPad.
