Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures Announce Batman Tumbler Tour! Caleb Hamilton, May 10, 2012May 10, 2012 Have you ever wanted to sit in the cockpit of Batman’s armored vehicle, the Tumbler? How about tear down the streets of Gotham on the Bat-Pod? You probably won’t be able to do either of those, but you’ll get to see both vehicles up close! Today, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures announced the launch of a special coast-to-coast tour featuring Batman’s Tumbler and Bat-Pod to promote the release of The Dark Knight Rises, sponsored by Mountain Dew and IMAX! Find out if the tour is rolling into a city near you after the jump.The Tumbler and the Bat-Pod have been Batman’s main choices of transportation in Christopher Nolan’s last two Bat-flicks. Unfortunately, *SPOILER ALERT* the Tumbler was destroyed by the Joker in The Dark Knight, which lead to the debut of the Bat-Pod, a motorcycle-like vehicle. Both will return in The Dark Knight Rises, but may not be used much by Batman. These two high-powered vehicles are making a cross-country journey kicking off this Saturday in Bentonville, Arkansas.Tumbler Tour is a 26-city tour promoting the upcoming release of the Chris Nolan’s conclusion to The Dark Knight legend.
